Is Money Everything we want?

Money is the most powerful medium to get things of our necessity, comfort and luxuries. It is by money that we buy our food, clothes and shelter. Without money it's difficult to survive for even a day - a true fact of life. On the other side if we see money is not everything. It cannot buy many things. It is said that, by hiring the services of a person for performing a job, you can only buy his time in which he uses his knowledge and skill but you cannot buy his loyalty to you. His loyalty is a kind of donation or contribution to you.

Money is not everything in life. But still, money has a very important role to play. It is not just money that makes everything work but it is also the determination of people to accomplish the task.

But still, on the other hand, money has a very important role to play in our lives. We all here many quotes and philosophies stating that money cannot buy happiness...But we have to make sure that we earn enough to meet at least our cardinal needs. We cannot simply sit jobless and make quotes on the subject of money.

According to Forbes magazine, "When men are so busy making money that they have no time for anything else, then the day is not far off when they will have no money for anything else."

Dalai Lama, When asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man. Because he sacrifices his health to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived".

Money does not buy everything but whatever we buy requires money. But lack of money can play such a harsh role in one's life. Some facts are like:

• A student did not get admission in the college, why? Because she was unable to deposit the required fees before the deadline.
• A patient waits outside the hospital by the time his family members somehow arranges the money to get him admitted in the hospital.
• Somewhere someone is not getting a meal because of the lack of the money.
• Some newborns are abandoned daily as their parents do not have the required finance for their upbringing.
•  We have seen people die due to extreme cold as they don't have a shelter to live in.

Money as such does not bring happiness. But money can remove our anxieties about material things like food on the table, clothes, children's education etc. etc. As such it can be an aid to happiness. But if you make money your God, you will never be happy. People who think money is everything are the people who never spend anything and in spite of all the money they may be having, they are never happy.

In the end I would say that money isn't everything but it is also a very important part of one's life.
